Biography

Robert Hayward was born around 1847 in Dorsetshire, England. Little is known about his early life or how he ended up in Newfoundland.

On December 1, 1875 he married Mary Jane Jacobs (nee Pittman) who was the young widow of Jonathan Jacobs.[1]

Robert died of a stroke on May 5, 1919.[2]
