Oh no, it is me on the Hayward Index - and I have entered 6 ancestor Haywards but where did they go. I have done this over and over and pressed the Enter Tags & Volunteer button at the bottom - there is no save button under the tags. Sorry can't play this game - oh crumbs I just entered and saved my father's details. Too difficult for me.

Enter Tags & Volunteer - I think I have pressed every Volunteer button visible and some not. But in the Hayward listing I thought I saw at least one of my Thomas Haywards (3 generations of them) will look again. I think I give up if they are not there.

Julie you have left a message saying it is your intention to volunteer so although things don't seem to be working you are now a confirmed member of WikiTree! Thank you for volunteering.

Have fun and ask for help if you need it! WikiTree members are always eager to offer guidance to a fellow genealogist.

If you need additional help, our Mentors Project is a friendly bunch of volunteers who will be glad to assist you with WikiTree-specific problems.

See you in the branches --

Hello Julia, Gilly here. Have you clicked the Volunteer Box? I cannot see any Tags yet. Did you remember to click save after entering information.. Try adding just one name into a Tag Box and then scroll down and click Save.

Ah, the volunteer button activates AFTER you enter the tags. Well I already entered these tags last night - hope I am not ruining your data base.

OK I have now visited the Volunteer page several times via the box on the left. No matter what buttons I press there, I doubt that I have successfully volunteered yet - but that is my intention.

Good grief, it saved this time - who knew! Maybe it is my computer? That is just what I did before.

Hi Julie,

I'm a WikiTree mentor. I sent a private message, but thought I should add something to your bulletin board.

You should see a link somewhere above or below this message that says "add tags" or maybe "edit tags and comments".

Make sure you click save when done. It may require scrolling down somewhat.

Also, people tell me they have more trouble seeing all the elements of their page on phones and tablets than on computers.

Carole

P.S. Feel free to let me know if you'd like to volunteer, and I'll confirm your membership without tags!

Hello Julie,

Welcome to WikiTree! The initial email from us has helpful links that will get you started on WikiTree, which is not like any genealogy site you’ve ever used.

WikiTree is different because our goal is to have one profile per person, and that means we all work together as a BIG collaborative team!

What brings you to WikiTree? Do you have research you’d like to share? Are you interested in how your family fits into the big tree? When you confirm your email address, you’ll have an opportunity to volunteer and tell us about your genealogical interests.

Once you volunteer, one of our Greeters will be happy to confirm your membership, and you’ll be on your way!

Welcome to the family! We’re really glad you’re here.
