Jerusha Hazen was born Nov. 6, 1772 in Norwich, CT to Nehemiah and Jerusha Pitcher Hazen. [1] She married John Herrick about 1790. The 1790 U.S. Census shows the family in North Hero, VT. [2] They moved to Middletown and Poultney, Vt., then to Martinsburg, N.Y. about 1803. [3] Their first child, Lydia, was born in Grand Isle in 1790. Jerusha died in Martinsburg, N.Y. March 30, 1845.
