Thomas Healey was born in 1808 in Tipperary, Ireland,
He was sentenced on 23 March 1832 to 7 years for stealing a pig. He was transported to Australia on the ship Roslyn Castle (3) that left Dublin, Cork on 8 October 1832 with 194 prisoners and the guard of the 21st Regiment. Weight of the ship was 450 tons. William Richards was the Master of the ship. The ship arrived in Sydney on 5 February 1833. Thomas was single, a catholic, 25 years of age, a farm labourer, 5 feet 5 inches in height, ruddy complexion, grey eyes, light brown hair, with a small lump on the outer corner of left eyebrow and a scar on the forefinger of his left hand. He could not read or write.
