Thomas was born in Aglish, County Waterford on 8 Aug 1865 and baptized in Aglish on 9 Aug 1865. Daniel Brard Moloney and Catherine [NLN] were his sponsors.[1][2][3] Thomas appears as a sponsor on the birth record of Michael Murry in Aglish in October 1883, suggesting he traveled to the US after this date.[4] On his naturalization papers, he claims to have arrived in Boston on 4 June 1886.[5] According to the 1900 Census, Thomas arrived in the US with his family in 1897, which is likely an error.[6]
He married Bridget Downey on 4 Aug 1889 in Boston and was working as a shoemaker at the time of his marriage.[7] Upon the birth of his daughter Nora in 1894, the family was living at 35 1/2 Chelsea Street in Charlestown.[8] Upon the birth of his son Thomas M. in 1896, the family was living at 46 Tufts Street.[9] Thomas is listed as a witness to his brother David's marriage in Boston in 1897.[10] As of 1900, Thomas and his family were living at 10 Tufts Street.[11]
Thomas passed away at 10 Sheridan Court in Boston on 13 December 1905 of acute phthisis and was buried at Holy Cross in Malden.[12]
