Jane Healy was born about 1845.
On 27 February 1867, Michael McInerney, bachelor farmer of Gowerhass, his father Michael McInerney farmer, married Jane Healy, spinster farmer's daughter of Ballynaguu, her father Michael Healy farmer. The marriage took place at the Roman Catholic Chapel of Cooraclare, County Clare, Ireland[1].
On 23 July 1872 Michael and Jane's daughter Mary was baptised. This is recorded in the Parish Registers of St Senan's Roman Catholic Church, Kilrush, Diocese of Killaloe, County Clare, Ireland. Residence of Michael and Jane is given as Gowerhass[2].
On 31 March 1901, when the 1901 Irish Census was taken, Jane McInerney is living in a household in the Townland of Gowerhass, County Clare, Ireland with her son in law, Stephen Grogan and his wife, Jane's daughter, Mary. Jane is identified as a 50 year old retired farmer born in County Clare. Jane is Roman Catholic and can read and write and speaks both Irish and English[3].
In the 1911 Irish Census, taken 2 April 1911, Jane McInerney is identified as the head of the Grogan household in the Townland of Gowerhass, County Clare, Ireland. Her daughter, Mary Grogan, died in 1907. Jane McInerney is identified as a 66 year old widow, no occupation, born in County Clare. She can read and write and speaks both Irish and English[4].
Jane McInerney, 86 year old widow farmer of Gowerhass, died in 1927 of "Bronchitis and Cardiac Failure". The death was registered late, on 18 June 1928, by informant Annie Daly of Moore street Kilrush who was present at the death. Only the year of death is stated[5].
No death registration has been found for Michael, Jane's husband, but as wife Jane is recorded as a widow in the 1901 Irish Census taken 31 March 1901, so before this date.
No other baptisms of children, apart from Mary's, have been located for Michael and Jane in the St Senan's registers.
