Biography

Witness to the birth was Mary Healy, which could be the mother or the sister of Thomas as both parents and witness are listed as living at Ballybrood. This is not currently a place but there is a place called "The Tower" which is very close to where the village was. Images of historic and modern maps can be found at ^[1]

At death (and on the certificate) she was believed to be born 11/11/1897 but she had a "rejuvenation" at the time of her second marriage as it would be unseemly to be older than her husband. Findmypast website Passenger list for SS Ionic lists her leaving on 02 November 1922 from SouthHampton to Wellington NZ. Age listed as 24 and Occupation as Domestic and lists address as 17 Brunswick Road, Kingston Hill Stated as last place of permanent residence "England".
