DNA Connections
It may be possible to confirm family relationships with Samuel by comparing test results with other carriers of his Y-chromosome or his mother's mitochondrial DNA.
However, there are no known yDNA or mtDNA test-takers in his direct paternal or maternal line.
It is likely that these autosomal DNA test-takers will share some percentage of DNA with Samuel:
Heard-1027 and Heard-84 appear to represent the same person because: same birth, marriage, and death. Parents of 1027 are wrong. Experience did not have two husbands named Samuel Heard.
I don't disagree but let's clean up the profile before merging, so we create an audit trail of who did what. If you don't feel comfortable doing that then let's create an unmerged match for now.
Heard-1027 and Heard-84 appear to represent the same person because: Probably a good idea to merge these profiles and then straighten out the other issues that will role out of it.
I'm wary of approving this merge. They could represent two different men who have been conflated. I'm particularly concerned that you are not willing to go on record as detaching the parents of 1027. If you do that first, I see no further barrier to the merge. The other details can be sorted during or after.
I agree with the changes to the father relationship. It was even in the source I used. I removed the father from my profile allowing you to carry on in the right direction.
Is there a source for his birth? His parents supposedly married 10 years after his birth, "by" 1673 (per Torrey) or in Oct 1673 per Wikitree profile (where date is unsourced currently).
Please detach incorrect parents so this merge can be completed. Thank You!
