Beatrice Elizabeth Heard was born 8 Aug 1901 in Fenelon Township, Victoria County, Ontario. She passed away about 1971.
She was the daughter of Joseph Heard and Catherine Burtchaell.

Her father died, 15 Jan 1911.
In the 1921 Census, she was 19 , and living with her uncle, James Burtchaell. With her were her mother, Catherine Heard, and older sister, Evelyn, as well as uncle, David B., and aunt Augusta, plus one male servant (17).[1]
Was a nurse with St. John's Ambulance in England near the end of WWII. She sailed (age 44) from New York City, aboard teh Rengitata (Cunard White Star Line), arrived in Liverpool via ship 18 Feb. 1945. [2]
Mentioned in a letter, March 1946: that she had arrived at Halifax on Monday, 18 March (1946) on the "Ile de France", arrived at Toronto on the 21st and stayed a few days with aunt Ma---. She arrived in Bracebridge on the 23rd, spent the weekend and left Monday for Ottawa to be discharged. Planned to go to the farm, hiring a women to help her and do the house cleaning. "Bea is very much thinner and had quite a trying grind at the hospital - long hours and terrible food - or rather a lack of food." [3]

He had an earlier marriage to Emily Daisy Boreham (1883-1945), and had four children.

Her obit (The Ottawa Journal, 31 July 1971) says she died in Toronto, Thursday, July 29, 1971. indicates her husband predeceased her. Survived by sisters (Hzel & Helen)Service held in Agincourt, internment in Fenelon Falls, Sat., 18 July.
Beatrice is buried in the Fenelon Falls Cemetery in #78, plot AH, next to her father (Joseph) and other family members. Inscription: "BEATRICE E YOUNG 1901-1971". It is possible she is "stacked" with Eda Brown (nee Heard) who died in 1924. [Glen Jones of F.F. Cemetery]
