On the twenty-second of October, 1837, Frances married William Clark at Hertford in Hertfordshire.[1] This union resulted in the birth in July, 1838, of Fanny Clark who died in infancy on the seventh of November, 1839.
William had legal difficulties and wound up in court which followed by his death in 1840.
Frances then married James Gossip, a fellow school teacher, on the thirteenth of February, 1843 at Lambeth St Mary's, Surrey, England.[2] She had more children with James.
Frances immigrated with James and daughter Eliza to New South Wales, Australia on the ship,
