He had nine siblings, namely: Edwin, Harvey, Jane Elizabeth, Nellie May, Arthur, Gladys Letitia, Francis, Lily Maud, and Robert. He died on 17 Sep 1959 in Sydney, New South Wales, Australia. When he was 30, he married Ella Miriam Smith , daughter of Frederick Smith and Victoria Mary Bernsdorff, on 25 Jun 1921 in Burwood, New South Wales, Australia.
