Research Note
He has been reported to be the son of Jacob and Delilah Riffle Heater which is incorrect. The following source which identifies Delilah's children and spouses. [4]The 1850 census identifies Delilah's son Jacob age 7 y/o=b 1843.[5] Just below her on the same page Jacob and Emsy are listed with one child as cited above.
