Teased the devil out of me did Kenneth. Was called up at the end of 1943 and went into Navy. Keen Footballer, was secretary to Consett FCC. Young sweetheart was "Hetty"
They didn't marry as Hetty insisted, probably because of parents, that Kenneth become a 'good' Catholic.
The tragedy was that she eventually married an American - a Mormon! When he died he left Hetty with unmanageable debts. I must write to Kenneth -now August 1997 - as he was going to pay for her fare over from California. Would be wonderful
if they got together. Kenneth married and divorced with son Alan, and twins Jane and Anne.
