Biography

Oscar B. Heath was born November 1870 in New Jersey. ^[1] He was the son of Anderson B. and Mary Heath, Kingwood, Hunterdon, New Jersey, United States. ^[2]

Oscar was 29 when he married Grace Hance on May 5, 1900 in Mansfield, Burlington County, New Jersey. ^[3]

Oscar in 1900 lived in Washington Borough, Warren County, New Jersey, son-in-law of Alfred and Angie Hance. ^[4]

In 1915 (state census) Oscar and wife Grace resided in Washington Borough (Phillipsburg) with two children: Howard born April 1904 New Jersey, and Gladys born October 1907 New Jersey. Oscar's occupation is listed as piano foreman, ^[5]

1920 U.S. Census shows the family in Washington, Warren County, New Jersey joined by his mother, Mary Heath, aged 73, and mother-in-law Angeline Hance aged 66. ^[6]

In 1940 (U. S. Census) Oscar aged 69 and wife Grace aged 65 continued to live in Washington, Warren County, New Jersey, ^[7]

He was 79 and wife Grace was 75 when they lived with their widowed daughter, Gladys Klock, aged 42, in Shillington, Cumru Township, Berks County, Pennsylvania, in 1950. ^[8]

Oscar was buried at Washington Cemetery, Washington, Warren, New Jersey in 1961. ^[9]
