Unsourced family tree, created by the late Ralph Heathcote IV in 1991, handed down to Gary Heathcote.
My father, Joseph Henry Jr. ("Joe Heathcote") may well have had many memories of his grandfather Ralph, but the only one -- told me when I was quite young -- that I can remember is this: He (Ralph) always was dressed like a gentleman and had a proud bearing. When he would greet me he would always reach in his pocket and say " 'ave a thin dime, lad?" Yes, the silent "H", must have sounded exotic to my father, borne in Oklahoma and raised in West Virginia.
