Myra (Heaton) Hale was born in Yorkshire, England.
Myra was born in Lancaster, Lancashire, England, on June 23, 1909. [1] She was the daughter of Joseph Heaton and Deborah Rhodes. She was baptized on September 12, 1909 in Keighley at St Mary Eastwood.[2] She was enumerated in the 1911 census [3] as a one year old residing with her mother in Keighley.
Myra married Jack Hale in 1934.[4] The ceremony was performed on September 19th at the Parish Church in Keighley.[5] The Parish Register listed Myra as a twenty five year old spinster and "Secretary" residing at 184 Skipton Road, Keighley. Her father was named as Joseph Herbert Heaton "Manufacturer". Jack was a twenty eight year old bachelor and "Works Manager" residing at 43 Belgrave Road, Keighley. His father was named as William Dawes Hale "Retired Provision Dealer". The witnesses were J.H. Heaton and A.L. Ratcliffe. It appears the couple had two children. Myra and Jack appeared in the 1939 Register[6] residing at 2 New Road, Keighley. Her occupation "Unpaid Domestic Duties". (Note...two redacted entries at residence).
Myra passed away on December 15, 1961. [7] Her residence at time of death was Windhurst Banks Lane, Keighley. Her Probate was administered on March 30, 1962 in Wakefield naming Kenneth Varley Longbotton, chartered accountant.[8] She was fifty two.
