Hi, Shirley, I'm still working on the Acadian project google group. Would you send me your email so we can invite you to the group? Or if you are in the group, send it to me so I can match you up? We are about to delete emails that haven't been matched to a badge holder. Thank you!
Hi, Shirley, the Bourg tag caught my eye and we are related, although through Claude Dugas: Shirley and Cindy are 8th cousins twice removed. I can guess we'll be seeing each other on Acadian profiles.
Shirley, I'm glad you're getting involved with Louisiana profiles, and I know you have a lot to offer! I ask that you please check in with the Louisiana Families Project to get on the same page regarding sources, citations and protocols for changing data on established profiles. Looking forward to working with you!
Thank you so much for responding to our check-in. We are delighted that you wish to continue contributing to the Categorization Project. Below is a quick checklist for active members. The project leaders would like you to make sure you have done the following:
It has been a couple of weeks since we contacted you about your participation in the Acadia Project and as we haven't heard from you, we are following up to make sure you wish to remain a member.
We understand that interests shift as we grow our shared tree and that some members may have moved on to projects more pertinent to the branches they are currently building. If this is the case for you, please let us know.
If we do not hear back from you within the week, we will assume you have moved on to other things for the moment and remove you from the project. Please know that you will always be welcome to rejoin should your interests shift back in this direction.
Thank you so much for your participation; we genuinely appreciate it.
On behalf of the Acadia Project Leaders, we are doing a six-month check-in with members. Please let us know if you are still active. Please let me know if you are still active, and if so, in which ways you have contributed to the project, or a sub-project, within the last two months.
All of us at WikiTree would like to thank you for your contributions and hope that you are enjoying exploring your roots.
I need to be pointed to advice on naming standards. I am a Louisiana Acadian and I find when I link to Canadian ancestors, the name changes. What to do? In La., lots of these folks were never known by the name used in Canada and vice versa I'm sure.
The Acadians Project is being profiled on a Wikitree Video. They are interested in a brief person in the street description of the project and whats new.
Our Acadians project will be profiled June 17 on the WikiTree blog. It will have a table of Acadian First Families including highlights from their profiles. Please check out your family lines here to see if any fixes are needed. Best wishes Annette
