Mary Ette Hedden was born in ca 1865, in Indina. She was the daughter of Benjamin Hedden and Nancy Smilie. At age 5, in 1870, she was in her parent's home in Russelville, lawrence County, Illinois, where her father was a Farmer. Her brother Charles-2 was also in the home.[1] By1880, the family had moved to Charleston, Coles County, Illinois where they lived on Lafayette St. by then she was 14, and had 3 more siblings.[2]
She married Frank C.H. Schenck in 1891 in Coles County, Illinois.[3] They had one known child.
