Biography

Mary is the daughter of F. E. Hodges and Elizabeth. [1]

Jacob and Mary were living in Jefferson, Wayne, Iowa in 1870.[2] The household also held Rachel, Frances, and Aggie.[2] Jacob was farming with real estate worth $1600 and personal effects worth $1400.[2]

In 1885, Jacob and family were still in Jefferson, Wayne, Iowa.[3] Right next door one way was his daughter Rachel and her family and on the other side was his daughter Francis, and her family. The Sharr household listed Jacob and Mary, and their children Aggie and Jacob. Jacob was farming.[3]

Widowed, Mary is found living in Jefferson, Wayne, Iowa with her children, Agnes and Jacob, and Agnes' son, Pearl Sharr.[4]

Mary is buried in Big Springs Cemetery, Wayne County, Iowa.[1]

Clio-The body of Mrs. Mary Sharr was brought from Jefferson here for burial at Big Springs beside her late husband, on Friday accompanied by her daughter, Mrs. Henry Hansen and her husband and was taken over by Jas. Sharr. Her daughter, Mrs. Florence Hainer and husband were down to meet it from near Big Springs.
