Adam Heeter was born December 3, 1818 to Adam and Catherine (Frieze) Heater in Northumberland (later Union) County, Pennsylvania.[1] Adam married Mary Young in April, 1841.[2]
Adam purchased two tracts (80 acres total) of land in Pulaski County, Indiana in 1849.[3] In 1850, the family was settled into Indiana.[4]In 1860, their family is found under the surname of "Hecter" by a transcription error.[5] The 1870 census has their name transcribed as Hester.[6] The 1880 census shows the family in Fulton County, Indiana.[7]The 1900 census has Adam widowed with two children in his home in Aubbeenaubbee township, Fulton County, Indiana.[8]
Mary died in 1898,[9] and Adam died three years later in 1901.[10]
