Biography

Isaac Adrianse Hegeman was born in 1659 at New Orange, Albany County, New York. He was the son of Adrian Hegeman and Katherine Margits. He married at the Dutch Reformed Church, Flatbush, Kings County, New York 15. Feb. 1686/87.

Nettie Weaver says he was born 15 Feb 1659 in Flatbush or Flatlands, Kings Co., NY. He took the Oath of Allegiance in Flatbush as a native in Sept. 1687. Member of the Flatbush DRC in 1685. On the assessment roll of 1693 and the census of 1698. Ensign of the company of Militia in 1686 as per p. 148 Cal. of English Man. Signed his name "Isaack Hegeman" on the Oath of Allegiance roll.. Early Settlers of Kings Co. NY, p 137. WFT #3, 6134. Oath of Allegiance list is at Olive Tree web site.

His spouse was Marike Roelofse Schenck, daughter of Roelof Martense Schenck and Neeltje Gerretse Van Kouwenhoven.
Isaac Adrianse Hegeman died in 1700 at New York.

I would probably go with the earlier year as more likely.
