Robert was born in 1942 in Kentucky, while his father was working in the Red Bird Mission. He was the son of Harlan Heim and Golda Mountain. He passed away in 1991 in Coralville, Johnson, Iowa. He is buried in the Heim Cemetery near Dawson, Nebraska.

DAWSON, Neb., June 28.-- A farewell reception was held at the Evangelical church here Monday night tor Dr. and Mrs. Harlan S Heim, who leave in a few days for work in the home mission field at Beverly, Ky. Dr. and Mrs. Heim were married here Friday evening, the bride having been principal of Dawson high school for the past four years. Dr. Heim was graduated from Bellevue hospital at New York, a few months ago and has since been at the Red Bird mission of the Evengelical church at Beverly, Ky. Both Dr. and Mrs. Helm are graduates of Western Union college at Le Mars, la.

HUMBOLDT -- The engagement and approaching marriage of Miss Donna Marie Heim to Lloyd Epley, son of Mr. and Mrs. Arthur Epley of Waverly, la., is being announced by the bride-elect's parents, Dr. and Mrs. Harlan S. Heim. A senior at Westmar College in LeMars, la., Miss Heim is affiliated with Sigma Tau Delta. Her fiance is a graduate of Westmar College and is now serving in the armed forces. Thompson granted the honor summa cum laude to Robert Heim of Humboldt, Neb., who had a 3.96 grade point average for four years at Westmar. Dean Thompson has granted the Summa Cum Laude honor only one other time in his 13 years as dean of Westmar College. Dr. Harland S. Heim Services Scheduled
Humboldt — Funeral services for Dr. Harlan S. Heim, 78, longtime physician and civic leader here, will be at 1 p.m. Tuesday at the United Methodist Church in Humboldt. He died Saturday.
A native of Dawson, Dr Heim came to Humboldt in 1933 after serving as a full service missionary in Appalachia for 7 1/2 years.
An ordained minister in the old Evangelical Church, Dr. Heim for many years filled area pulpits on a substitute basis, averaging about a sermon a month. He served as director of the United Methodist Church choir here for 40 years.
Dr Heim was a World War I veteran and was active in American Legion work. He was also a leader in Rotary and Masonic circles.
In May of 1973 Dr Heim was honored by his community in two days of special tribute.
Surviving are his son, Robert of Iowa City, Iowa; daughters, Betty Jean Heim of Española, N.M., and Mrs. Lloyd ( Donna) Epley of Coralville, Iowa; brother, John of Fremont; sisters, Martha Klima of Kansas City, Mo., and Mrs. James DeWeese of Humboldt; and three grandchildren.

HEIM - Betty Jean Heim, 52, a resident of Albuquerque for four years, passed away Friday. She is survived by: one sister and brother-in-law, Donna and Lloyd Eply, both of Coralville, Iowa; one brother, Robert Heim, Coralville, Iowa; two nieces, Dea Eply and Jean Eply, both of Coralville, Iowa; one nephew, David Eply, Coralville, Iowa. She was a member of the St. Steven United Methodist Church.

Robert H. Heim, 49, of 1109 1/2 10th St., Coralville, died Saturday at Mercy Hospital after a long illness.
Services were today at the Sharon Center United Methodist Church, with burial in Heim Cemetery in Dawson, Neb. The Rev. Robert Hoover officiated.
Visitation was at the Peterseim Funeral Home in Kalona. Memorials will go to the Sharon Center United Methodist Church or Johnson County Hospice.
Mr. Heim was born Jan. 6, 1942, in Humboldt, Neb., the son of Harlan S. and Golda Mountain Heim.
He had been a resident of Iowa City for 15 years. He received a bachelor's degree from Westmar College in LeMars. He received master's and doctoral degrees in English and instructional design from the Univerity of Iowa. He taught language and humanities in the Iowa City School District and at the University of Iowa.
He was a member of the Sharon Center United Methodist Church and Phi Delta Kappa.
He is survived by one sister, Donna (Mrs. Lloyd) Epley of Coralville; one nephew; and two nieces.
His parents and one sister died earlier.
