In the 1834 census, she is listed as Maria Elisabeth instead of Elisabeth Maria. It still appears that they are the same woman, not two different women. The 1834 census does not designate any of her sons as belonging to a first wife. The only discrepancy is her age. In the 1798 census, there was two years differences between Maria Elisabeth and her husband; in the 1834 census they are the same age. It's close enough not to be concerned about, but it does need to be mentioned.
