Lester Edward Hein was born on 5 June 1905 to Edward and Mary Henrietta (VanderBerg) Hein. He was described as a happy child with a good sense of humor. [1] He contracted diphtheria and was said to have recovered from it, however, it weakened his heart resulting in his death at the age of 8 on 13 November 1913. Lester is buried at Fairplains Cemetery in Grand Rapids, Kent County, Michigan, United States. [2]
Lester's obituary reads: " Hein - November 13, at the residence, 908 Fountain Street, N.E., Lester Edward Hein, aged eight years, son of Mr. and Mrs. Edward Hein. Funeral services will be held at the residence Friday at 4 o'clock." [3]
