Hello Gerard, I tried to see if you and I are a DNA match in GEDmatch. Your GEDmatch number M412715 that you list here; is not recognized by GEDmatch. My interest is in the Wunsch name which I believe you made some changes to. My GEDmatch number is A686640 and my tree on GEDmatch is 7542895

Hi - can you explain please why the merge on Gallagher-2187 has been forced through? There's no evidence for it at all and I've set out why I do not think it is correct. The proposer of the merge made no response to this. The names involved are incredibly common (and that of the wife does not even match). If you could reverse the merge I'd be much obliged. Thanks, Jason

the wrong marriage is removed

sorry Gerard

Hi, thank you but that leaves the two Charles Gallaghers in one profile - there is now no Charles Gallagher married to Mary Doyle and also has the other PM co-managing a profile. The merge should be reversed rather than just the marriage removed please.

There is no merge reverse function in wikitree , only the help page about accidental merges.

So the other profile will need to be re-created - I am still at a total loss as to why the merge was done in the first place but I'm sure it will be cleaned up properly. Thanks, Jason

Thanks so much for being part of the Toddlin' Tortoises Team for the October 2022 Source-a-Thon. Every source or citation verifying the information on a profile, helps make for a healthier Tree!
Hertyl and Spertyl Slowsky Tortoises face each other, with a large gold winner's trophy between them. Beneath the adult Tortoises are the baby Slowsky twins, Liddyll, and Iddyll, holding the words "Wonderful WikiTreer" between them, and behind the phrase, superimposed upon the trophy, is the WikiTree DNA globe icon. Beneath the entire tableau is the phrase "We're all winners in the end".

Margaretha Reuter is married to my gg grandfather Peter Petrus Marx. I have records from Luxembourg that I cannot read. I’d be happy to scan them for upload. I have naturalization record for Peter Marx, and son Bernard Max. I have copy of land purchase in Iowa by Peter Marx.

On the record I have for Margaretha is a name Jean Reyter. There are two dots above the y in Reyter, and I don’t know what that is for. Another name I can make out looks like first name Clements, but the last name I can’t be sure of.

Hi, Gerard,

Thanks for taking the Pre-1700 Quiz!

Because pre-1700 ancestors are shared by many descendants, working within the projects which coordinate them is essential.

Use the Pre-1700 Projects list to find one which best fits your research focus, whether time period, location, or topic. Read the goals and tasks of the project and join if it is a good fit.

Add the project tag to your Following list to be kept up to date on any activity that occurs for that project.

Can't find what you're looking for? Let me know, and I can make some suggestions! :-)

We're very active on our social sites and we have an excellent blog where you'll find our monthly newsletter as well as tips, interviews with our members and guest posts from others in the genealogy community.

Try our Relationship Finder! It searches 20 generations. If you find a duplicate profile, the other managers are probably related. You can use this to find out how!

Thank you for joining WikiTree. As a WikiTree Mentor I am available to answer any questions or help solve any issues you may be having. How is your experience with Wikitree going? Our G2G Forum is searchable or you can post a question there.

Do you have Royal Ancestors? They are already here on Wikitree! Rather than create duplicate profiles for them, please contact the EuroAristo Project to discuss connecting your family line to their profiles.

The Help Index is also an important place to find how to do most tasks.

Feel free to ask me via my profile page if you have any questions.
