Carl was born in 1810. He passed away in 1874. He is the son of Johann Heinz and Regina Schmitz. He passed away in 1874.
Carl appears to be the man who arrived in Baltimore in May 1868, traveling with some of his family aboard the 'Somerset'. He is listed as age 58 (born 1810) with wife Margarethe (born 1810), Casper (1840), Elizabeth (1844), and Catharine (1857). These are close to the ages of his family, but he is missing Anton, Johanna and Franz. Johanna appears to be listed with her new husband Peter SCHMITZ next to Carl's family. See "Baltimore, Passenger Lists, 1820-1964, https://www.ancestry.com, Carl HEINTZ, arriving May 1868 aboard the 'Somerset'."
It is likely then that Franz and Anton HEINZ are the men listed as Franz HENRY and Antonio HENRY coming to New York in March 1867. "New York, U.S., Arriving Passenger and Crew Lists (including Castle Garden and Ellis Island), 1820-1957, https://www.ancestry.com, 03/08/1867, Franz HENRY, aboard 'The Queen'." It seems Anton rejoined the family in Illinois after they arrived the following year, but Franz did not.
