Bertha is the daughter of Mathias and Maria Elizabeth Reinschieck Heitzman.[1]She completed eight years of schooling.[2] She married John Nolan in Davenport when she was 20 years old.[3] They are the parents of twelve children and spent their entire lives in Davenport, Iowa.[4][5][6][7][8][9]
Bertha died in Davenport at age 72 and is buried in Mt. Calvary Cemetery, Davenport, Iowa.[10]

Bertha's mother's maiden name is uncertain. Reinschieck is the name listed on her cemetery records on Find A Grave. Keimscheidt is the name listed on her marriage record as transcribed on Familysearch.org.
