Alice was one of probably four children of John Helder and Alice (Davy) Helder . She was born some time between 1724 (the date of her parents' marriage) and 1735 (the date of her mother's death). In a journal written by her father, mention is made of Alice being in a school in Ipswich. Alice married John Fletcher of Wicken by licence in 1752. Boyds Marriage Index by licence 9/6/1752. Bondsman John Chalice of Halifax, presser and packer. Place: Wicken or Burwell. She had one living child (Elizabeth Fletcher) to John, before dying early 1755. Her place of burial has not been established.
