Rachel was born in 1857. She was the daughter of Daniel Heller, who was born in Berlin, Germany.

Rachel Federica Leiby died December 10, 1940, in Richmond, Ashtabula County, Ohio, USA.[5] She was buried December 13, 1940, in Dorset, Ohio.[6]
