Lelia was born in 1881. She passed away in 1958 and is buried in the Sharon Memorial Park in Charlotte, Mecklenburg County, North Carolina. [1]
Note: Problems with connection to Lelia Helms Earney. Working to figure out... possibly something wrong with Lelia's age... trouble is father Milas, was born in 1867/1870 to young to birth a child in 1881. , definitely more than one Milas Helms, common name. { I think Milas might not be the father of Lelia and Grace. But all records give him as their father.}
My MAJOR problem is in the 1910 census with her father, Lelia is 18, but she is on the 1910 census with her husband and has already been married for 11yrs and is age 27. Are we chasing the wrong set of parents? {I now think possibly someone may have given that info on Lelia other than the parents}
Another problem Milas and Mary married in 1890, that is a transcribed record so could be wrong. {Mary states in census she married at age 30, so that would make 1890 true.}
