Usage in a Source Citation

All the Ancestry link templates should be used within a source citation giving information about the sources referenced on Ancestry.

Indexed Record

This can easily be done by copying from Ancestry the information under two sections, when you're referencing a record. The first section is titled "Source Information". What you'll get from it looks something like this:

Ancestry.com. 1930 United States Federal Census [database on-line]. Provo, UT, USA: Ancestry.com Operations Inc, 2002.

Then you need to copy the information under the section titled "Source Citation". This is important, as it gives the details necessary to find the information again from other places. The information you get should look something like this:

Year: 1930; Census Place: Liberty, Woodbury, Iowa; Page: 2B; Enumeration District: 0014; FHL microfilm: 2340424

The template with the link should then be placed within the source information:

Ancestry.com. 1930 United States Federal Census [database on-line]. Provo, UT, USA: Ancestry.com Operations Inc, 2002. Year: 1930; Census Place: Liberty, Woodbury, Iowa; Page: 2B; Enumeration District: 0014; FHL microfilm: 2340424 {{Ancestry Record|6224|32191164}}

It will display like:

Ancestry.com. 1930 United States Federal Census [database on-line]. Provo, UT, USA: Ancestry.com Operations Inc, 2002. Year: 1930; Census Place: Liberty, Woodbury, Iowa; Page: 2B; Enumeration District: 0014; FHL microfilm: 2340424 Ancestry Record 6224 #32191164
