"Sysops" are WikiTree system administrators.
There are only a few sysops and they are all WikiTree Team members.
Sysops have the power to see and do just about anything on WikiTree. One exception is passwords. Passwords are stored in the database in an encrypted manner and can't be accessed by anyone.
It's necessary for sysops to have these powers so that they can help solve extraordinary problems.
If you need something that only a sysop can do, contact firstname.lastname@example.org. Most questions and problems don't require a sysop. The volunteer community works together to answer each other's questions in the G2G (genealogist-to-genealogist) forum. More advanced problems can be handled privately by volunteer Leaders.
