Here are tips for using WikiTree X on Ancestry.com ...
- A "Show Preview" option on the merge screen would really be great! Beardsley-386 03:06, 19 November 2016 (EST)
- The entry ""Public Member Trees", database, Ancestry.com (http://person.ancestry.com/tree/########/person/###########/facts : accessed 18 November 2016), profile for John Doe." really should not be entered as a source, there are multiple G2G comments and also entries in the Help sections stating that public member trees are not considered reliable sources. Maybe a much better place for this is under the Acknoledgements section or the "see also" heading. this is the default entry when adding data from the Ancestry tree's profile page.Beardsley-386 03:06, 19 November 2016 (EST)
- The "merge" of the information seems to a "Fact:" entry under the biography section by default along with an entry in the Sources section, but above the <references/>. Maybe would be better appending under the <references/> indicator?
::It is easy to edit the placement on the merge screen to place the new entries where you want them, but this might speed things up a bit. Beardsley-386 20:22, 18 November 2016 (EST)
- Works better if used from the "View Record" screen on Ancestry, rather than the profile screen. as it then enters the source reference information rather than "Public Member Trees". Beardsley-386 02:35, 19 November 2016 (EST)
