Jeffrey Heneway was born about 1737 in Boston[1], Massachusetts.
He was the husband of Nipmuc Native Hepsibah Crosman, and the grandfather of Civil War veteran First Sergeant Alexander Freeman Hemenway of the famous 54th Massachusetts Volunteer Infantry.
He and his wife celebrated an "Indian wedding" on 13 December 1788 in Worcester, Massachusetts and married in a Christian church on 3 November 1792.[1]
Jeffrey served during the American Revolutionary War, fighting at Lexington and Bunker Hill.
He passed away in 1819 and is buried at Hope Cemetery in Worcester, Massachusetts.
