FRANCES did not marry and, though she was not with her parents in 1851, had evidently joined them in Cardiff not later than 1854.
The 1851 Census includes, under Railway Yard, Dewsbury: 'FRANCES HEMINGWAY, dressmaker, lodger, 22, unmarried, born Dewsbury.' The age is correct for Robert's daughter, but, though the identification is very probable, it cannot be regarded as certain. In 1854, she witnessed her sister Betty's marriage in Cardiff, when she "made her mark", though she signed her name when witnessing her brother Mark's marriage in 1857.
She died at Amherst St, Cardiff, 25th February 1884 and was buried in Cathays Cemetery, with her parents on the 29th.[1]
