Biography

Margaret was born on 24 May 1887 in Oxford, Ontario, Canada. She was the daughter of David Basteo Hendershot and Alice Jane (McDonald) Hendershot.^[1]

In the 1891 census Margaret (age 3) was living in Windham, Norfolk, Ontario, Canada. Single; Dau/ HH: D Hendershot 60 Head, Alice J 42 Wife, Elizie 18 Son, Erie 15 Dau, M R 13 Son, Fredrick 10 Son, Sarah V 6 Sister, Margaret J 3 Dau, Annie Gordan 20 dau, Fred E Gordan 1, H Hendershot brother 71.^[1]

In the 1901 census Margaret (age 13) was living in Charlotteville, Norfolk, Ontario, Canada. HH: David Hendershott 73, Allice B Hendershott 52, Elgin Hendershott 26, Eva Hendershott 24, Fred Hendershott 18, Magg Hendershott 13, Earnest Hendershott 11.^[2]
