He is the probable father of Matilda Elizabeth (Henderson) Pence

Research Note

[[3]] notes his father as Daniel Henderson who appears to have lived in Mason, Kentucky, prior to going to Adams, Ohio. His wife's name was Rebekah, but the note gives no information on her. The children of Daniel and Rebekah that were listed are the following: 1. Rebecca (Henderson) Daugherty, wife of Joseph, who show up in Fayette, Kentucky court records. 2. Eleanor (Henderson) Davidson who moves with her husband Samuel to west central Indiana. 3. Robert, who marries Phebe Hiatt, and remain in Adams, Ohio. 4. Thomas, who marries Judith Conner in Adams County, Ohio on February 29, 1816^[1], and moving to Fulton County, Illinois in 1835.

For details see Volume 11 (Adams County) pages 39 and 40 " This indenture made the second day of November in the year of our Lord 1819 between Robert Henderson and Phebe his wife of the County of Adams and State of Ohio and Samuel Davidson ... part of the survey of Samuel Brady ... are their equal fourth part of the lands of the real estate of Rebekah Henderson (dec'd) containing six acres or thereabouts"^[2]
