John Henderson was born about 1800 in Easter, Ross-shire, Scotland, son of William Henderson (~1780– ) and Jean Kerr (~1760– ).
John married Bella MacIntosh on 3 November 1826 in Kilmuir-Easter, Ross and Cromarty, Scotland.[1]
Their known children were:

- Eliza Hog Henderson (born 19 April 1836)
- James Henderson (born 26 May 1838)
John died about 1881 in Rosskeen, Highland, Scotland, United Kingdom, aged 80.
