Sarah Elizabeth Henderson was born 05 Feb 1854 in Goreville, Johnson County, Illinois; one of six children born to Lodowick David and first wife Mary Dorrell.
Sarah was united in marriage 21 Sep 1871 in Marcoupin County, Illinois with George Cromwell Foster; son of Alonzo P. and Nancy B. (Anderson) Foster.
Sarah and George were the parents of nine children:
1. May Virginia born 1872 married Samuel "Emery" Clester 2. Adah Paralee born 1874 married James "Jim" Clester 3. Alta Elmira born 1877 married Howard Oliver Olmstead 4. Jennie Elva born 1879 married George Wilson Adams 5. Fannie Fern born 1882 married George Aldelda Simpson 6. Alonzo Marion born 1884 married Wanda Myrtle Hartshorn 7. Florance Ruth born (1891-1914) 8. Alfred Elmore born (1895-1918) KIA World War I 9. Esther Foster (1898-1899)
George and Sarah made the run into Oklahoma sometime in the early 1900's. George passed away there in 1914 and Sarah returned to Sumner County.
George passed away 11 Apr 1914 in Morrison, Noble County, Oklahoma at the age of 73 years. He was laid to rest in Morrison Cemetery, Morrison, Noble, Oklahoma.
Sarah passed away 11 Mar 1939 in Conway Springs, Sumner County, Kansas at the age of 85 years. She was laid to rest in Conway Springs Cemetery, Conway Springs, Sumner, Kansas, USA.
