Eliza was born in 1879 in the Town of Natimuk, near Horsham, Wimmera Region, Western Victoria, Australian Colonies. She was the daughter of John Henderson and Mary Light, who married in 1868, possibly in the Town of Terang, near Warnambool, Shire of Corangamite, Victoria, Australian Colonies^[1]. She passed away in 1931 in the Town of Torra, South Gippsland Shire, County of Buln Buln, South Gippsland Region, Victoria, Australia.

Item Details: WEDDINGS. HAACK— HENDERSON. At the residence of the bride's uncle, Mr. R. Roy, Miss E. Henderson was, on the 15th August, married to Mr. W. Haack, second son of the late Mr. F. Haack, of Tooborac. The ceremony was conducted by the Rev. M'Donald, of Heathcote. The bride, who was given away by her uncle, Mr. R. Roy, wore a pretty dress of blue cashmere, trimmed with white broche silk and fancy ribbon, with the customary wreath and veil. She carried a bouquet of white roses, tied with white satin ribbon. The bridesmaid, Miss M. Henry (cousin of the bride) wore a pale blue nun's veiling dress, with a yoke of lace and a broad satin waistband. Mr. John Roy was best man. At the conclusion of the ceremony a reception was held^[5].
