Sarah married Nathan Wheeler on December 14, 1839, in Hall, Georgia; her name appears as “Sally M Henderson. [1]
Sarah is listed in the 1850 census in Cherokee, Georgia, with husband Nathan and John, William, Henry, Nancy, and Margaret. [2]
The 1850 census transcribed record, as shown by Ancestry and FamilySearch, says that Nathan and Sarah, with their 5 children, were in the home of another neighbor, James McCraw, family of 8. A look at the census page shows this is possible, but not likely the case; they are listed in separate dwellings (numbers 1352 and 1353), but written as the same family (number 1358). It seems most likely the census-taker just repeated the number. Weatherall-96 04:45, 19 February 2021 (UTC)
