Research notes

Birth date

NB the Henderson booklet [5]has Elizabeth as born Sep 1851, but my copy is annotated Nov 12 1847, which date agrees with parish records, and an age of 3 in the 1851 census. Henderson-2297

Arrival in New Zealand

Elizabeth MILLER's obit says 1865: 'William & Mary' but the Henderson family booklet [5]says 1867 "William Davie" Capt Logan (88 days land to land).
The Notice of Intention to Marry for Elizabeth and David MILLER in 1868 state Elizabeth had been resident in NZ for 12 mths, and a witness at the wedding was her sister Mary, lending credence to the latter date.
