Biography

William was born about 1841. He was the son of Thomas Henderson and Jane Bain. He passed away after 1843.^[1]

From 1843? after the death of his mother Jane (Bain) Henderson and his father Thomas Henderson he was taken by his grandmother Jean (Nicol) Bain by schooner to be brought up with his brother Thomas by his uncle William Henderson who lived at Millbank, Wayne County Ohio, Canada. His brother John with Uncle John Bain who lived in Hamilton, Wentworth County Ontario. His sister Jane with Uncle Walter Bain who lived in Hamilton, Wentworth County, Ontario.

He died at age 84 of TB.

Brought to the US by his grandmother Bain from Scotland when his parents died (his mother died in 1843 when he was 4). Raised first by his uncle William Henderson of Millbrook, Wayne Country, Ohio, then James Bruce in the same community.
