Will went to Port Germein to work with Robert, and moved with Robert's family when they went to Cleve. He was restless, working all over the place, including Broken Hill. In 1903 Will joined the group led by Charles Webb that went to Western Australia. He joined in the WA gold rush to the Kalgoorlie/Coolgardie area. After marrying Lil, they moved to White Park Cartle Statipon, Kurrawang, an isolated station 10 miles east of Wagin.
