Biography

Willie Mae Henderson was born October 15, 1902 in Leeper, Wayne, Missouri, the daughter of John Henderson and his wife Hattie Isabel (Randall) Henderson. Isabel, Willie Mae's mother, 1st married John HENDERSON on 14 May 1893 in Piedmont, Wayne, Missouri, USA. They are believed to have had 2 children, Harry Angle HENDERSON b: 1898 in Arkansas City, Arkansas, Arkansas, USA and the woman about whom this biography is written, Willie Mae HENDERSON. Isabel then married Edward Boatman.

Willie Mae's nickname was "Little Boatman" and she earned this when her mom married a Boatman and due to her height as she was only 4' 7"-4' 8."

She was a Saleswoman and Collector as a Missouri Peace Officer.

She 1st married Alonzo Adam Quick on April 28, 1920 in Bunker, Dent, Missouri, USA. They had 2 children:

  1. Mazo Grace Quick
  2. Clifford Dalton Quick

they divorced abt 1925.

She next married George Washington Brotherton abt 1926 in Missouri. They had 1 child:

  1. Georgia Brotherton b: 12 Jun 1929 d: 8 Dec 1996

George did not adopt Mazo Grace Quick Or Clifford Dalton Quick

Willie Mae died of old age on 27 Nov 1989 at the age of 87 years in Bellville, Illinois. She is buried in Mount Lebanon Cemetery in PLOT: Grave 2, Lot: 27A, Section J in St Ann, Missouri, United States.
