Biography

Thomas Henderson was born on 19 Oct 1790, baptized on 25 Oct 1790 at the Abbey, Paisley, Renfrewshire. The record showed that his family lived at Eaglesham, Renfrewshire.

Wikipedia says: "Paisley Abbey is a former Cluniac monastery, and current Church of Scotland parish kirk, located on the east bank of the White Cart Water in the centre of the town of Paisley, Renfewshire, in west central Scotland."

Thomas Henderson married Margaret Jamieson, on 30 Jun 1834 at Middle Church, Paisley. He is likely to be this same person but there is no certainty - too many Thomas Hendersons, with no middle names to distinguish them from each other.

Thomas had a younger sister, Margaret, who married a soldier, William Lockhart, and they migrated to Canada before 1831. But what became of Thomas? Did he also emigrate abroad? Unknown.
