Biography

Robinson was born in 1751. Robinson was the child of Isham Hendon and Keziah Johnson. Robinson passed away in 1832. He is likely buried at Cloud's Creek Church Cemetery, Oglethorpe County, Georgia, where he was a very early member.

WILL OF ROBINSON HENDON 2 Jan 1818

I Robinson Hendon of the State of Georgia and County of Oglethorpe knowing the mortality of my body and that is appointed to all men to die and being in good health and sound memory to make and ordain this my last will and testament, that is today.

First I give my body to the ground to be buried in a decent Christian burial, and my soul to God who gave it and as to those worldy goods with which it had pleased God to bless men, I dispose of them in the following manner (viz). All my property both real and personal I will shall be and remain in the possession of my beloved Wife Elizabeth Hendon, and as my minor children come of age, or marry, She give them such property as She can spare, and such as they need, the same to be valued by three disinterested men and the said children charged with the same in a book, which I have kept for that purpose, and at my said Wifes death or marriage, I will that an equal division be made agreeable to what they have received and what remains after reserving to may Wife Eiizabeth in case she marries, negro woman Ester and one bed and furniture during her life and the negroes offspring if any and bed and furniture at ther death to revert back to the estate to be divided after the same manner. I will also that if any of my children dies leaving heirs that they the said heirs of said deceased children receive their parents part.

I do hereby constitute and ordain my Wife Elizabeth Hendon my esecutrix and my sons Johnston Hendon and Andrew Hendon my esecutors to this my last Will and Testament in witness whereof,

Georgia Oglethorpe County. Personally appeared in open court Samuel Cochran and Sally Cochran two of the subscribing witnesses to the written will and being duly sworn, deposeth and saithm that they saw Robinson Hendon sign seal and publish and declare the same to be his last will and testament and at the time thereof be was of sound mind and memory.

July adjourned term 1836. The court examined the copy will of Robinson Hendon and ordered it to be recorded. July 18th, 1836 attest Henry Perkins C.C.O.

Recorded the copy will of Robinson Hendon deceased of Oglethorpe County Georgia in the Registers office of Troup County, Georgia of book A Wills, on page 43 & 45 this 20th day of July 1836. Henry Perkins C.C.O.

Georgia Oglethorpe County Inferior Court sitting for ordinary purposes January term 1836. Ordered by the court that Elizabeth Hendon executrix of the estate of Robinson Hendon deceased, have the privilege of removing the estate of said deceased to the County of Troup State of Georgia.

Georgia Oglethorpe County I Henry Brittain Clerk of the Court of Ordinary and for said county do hereby certify that the foregoing order is truly extracted from the minutes of said court.

Given under my hand at office the 30th day of April 1836

Hendon-372 and Hendon-70 appear to represent the same person because: Same parents and same birth place. I had an incorrect birthdate and I overlooked the suggested match. That is my mistake, sorry!
