Flossie M. Owen, 83, of Hayti, died Aug. 28 at The Nursing Home in Hayti. Born Aug. 8, 1912 in Savannah, Tenn., she is the daughter of the late Nev and Rosa Clausal Hendon. She was united in marriage to Charlie Owen on Dec. 19, 1936 in Illinois. She was preceded in death by her husband, a son, two brothers and a daughter. She is survived by two sons, Calvin Owen of Tupelo, Miss. and Curtis Owen of Calondia, Miss.; a daughter, Sue Aldridge of Kent City, Mich.; a step-daughter, Louise Emory of Grand Chain, Ill.; a step-son, Ray Owen of Cape Girardeau, Mo.; two sisters, Lera Bevis of Savannah, Tenn. and Lorine Hendon O'Neal of Cooter; four brothers, Dewey Davidson of Osceola, Ark., Elvis Reed-York of Harbor, Mass., Luther N. Davidson, Temple, Texas and Hollis Davidson of Denver, Col.; 26 grandchildren, 42 great grandchildren and a host of other relatives and many friends. Services were held Thursday at 10 a.m. in the John W. German Funeral Home Chapel in Hayti, the Rev. Bob Carden officiating with burial in the Woodlawn Cemetery at Hayti.
