The application of the surname of Hermansz comes from what appears to be a misunderstanding of the NYGBR source. In searching for Annetje's baptismal record, the author found that the strongest match was this:
04 August 1619 was baptized Annetje daughter of Henrick Hermansz and Griet Centen, witness: Beltje Groessens [Goverts].
As seen by her New Amsterdam church records her patronym was Hendricks.
I am going to go ahead and move her to NNS, but with reservations.
My decision is based on the claim that she is Daughter of Hendricks Hermansz. I think it is more likely that her name is correctly known from records, rather than that her father's name is correctly known.
His name is odd in form. I suspcet that he may have really been Herman Hendricks, thus properly giving rise to Annetji's patronymic as Hermans.
But that is just a guess. The z on the end of his current name indicates that somebody who claimed that name for him at least understoond the patronymic system in part, as z is commonly used in records as abbreviation for zoon, meaning son of.

So this needs further study and sourcing.
