Biography

Alexander, son of John Hendry & Bartra Walker, was born on 26 March 1799 and baptised on 28 March 1799 in Drainie, Morayshire, Scotland.[1]

Alexander married Anne Riach on 17 February 1827 in Drainie, Morayshire, Scotland.[2]

Alexander's daughter Janet Henry was baptised on 27 June 1827 in Drainie, Morayshire, Scotland.[3]

Alexr's daughter Anne Henry was baptised on 31 January 1830 in Drainie, Morayshire, Scotland.[4]

Alexr's son William Henry was baptised on 12 April 1835 in Drainie, Morayshire, Scotland.[5]

His first wife, Anne Roach, died on the 19th April 1896.

Alexander died 24 March 1870, and the inscriptions on the gravestone reads :Erected by PATRICK WEIR HENDRY in loving memory of his father ALEXANDER HENDRY late Farmer Ardrie Ardclach, died 23rd March 1871 aged 72 years. Also JANET DEAN his beloved wife died at Tomcork, 29th Nov 1909 aged 85 years. Also their son WILLIAM died at Tomnagee, 2nd Feb 1889 aged 54 years. Also their son ROBERT died at Tomcork, 30th June 1903 aged 46 years. And the said PATRICK WEIR HENDRY late Farmer Tomcork, died at Springfield Rd. New - Elgin, 13th Feb 1922 aged 67 years. Also his wife MARY KEITH MCGILLIVRAY who died 26th October 1956. .[21]

Alexander died on 24 March 1870 at Ardrie, Ardclach[22]
